We work with a lot of professional adult men. But we also support any individual who identifies with, wants to identify with, or previously has identified with being a man/male. This may include but is certainly not limited to men in the LGBTQ+ community (including gender fluid, queer, gay, non-binary, trans, and cis individuals), and male children and adolescents. We also work with partners or anyone with a man in their lives who they’re concerned about.

Simply put, because men need it. Men often face unique challenges, and societal norms can sometimes discourage them from seeking help. Traditional therapy may not fully cater to these specific needs, which is where Men’s Therapy Center steps in.

We provide specialized services tailored to men’s mental health needs and challenges, creating an environment where men feel comfortable exploring their struggles and concerns. We are here to challenge the norm, demonstrating that seeking help isn’t a weakness, but a strength. In a world where resources for men’s mental health have been underrepresented, we aim to be part of the solution.

Yes! Under the Affordable Care Act, all insurance plans must cover mental health care. If you have health insurance (e.g. Aetna, Cigna, United, Blue Cross, and others), your plan should provide some coverage for mental health treatment. We are recognized as an “out-of-network” provider group.

If you would like to use your insurance to cover therapy fees, we offer SuperPay, a secure, HIPAA-compliant payment option powered by SuperBill, to provide you with a FREE and simple way to get reimbursed by your insurance for out-of-network services. When you pay for your therapy sessions with SuperPay, SuperBill will automatically file and track your claims with your insurer. You will also have access to their expert customer support team for assistance with insurance benefits checks and claim denial resolution. To set up this payment method prior to your initial session, you can complete the 2-minute onboarding on the SuperBill website.

If you have a PPO plan, you may be eligible to receive between 50-80% of therapy fees reimbursed after you meet your deductible. Learn more on our Insurance page.

Yes, some of our providers are recognized in-network providers with Lyra Health. Check with your employer to see if they offer Lyra benefits.

Our standard rates are $225 per 45-minute therapy session, be it individual or couples therapy. However, if you’re planning for multiple sessions, consider our discounted package: 8 sessions for $1500, saving you $300 compared to individual session pricing. 

If you’re utilizing out-of-network insurance coverage, your out-of-pocket cost will depend on the specific details of your insurance plan and deductible. We highly recommend this route to potentially reduce your costs. 

We strive to make therapy accessible. If you are currently without insurance, have limited coverage, or find our standard fees challenging to meet, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We offer a limited number of reduced-rate sessions and are committed to working with you to find a solution that supports your mental health needs.

Our rates reflect the quality and expertise of our therapists, who have years of professional education and training. Behind each session are costs for maintaining a confidential and supportive environment, continuous professional development, and both marketing and administrative tasks and costs. 

Insurance often doesn’t adequately cover mental health services, which influences our rates. However, we offer courtesy billing to help with your insurance company dealings.

We have a strict 48-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within 48 hours or are a no-show for the visit, you will be charged in full for the therapy session. (Please note this cannot be reimbursed by insurance.) In our business, time is money, and when a session is canceled on short notice, the therapist cannot fill the time slot to help someone else. We hope you understand. 

We also have a 15-minute no-show policy. This policy states that if you are more than 15 minutes late to your scheduled therapy session, your therapist will have to cancel the visit. In such cases, you will still be charged for the session in full, as per our 48-hour cancellation policy. Please note that insurance companies cannot reimburse these charges.

Sessions are 45 minutes in length. There is no set number of sessions or weeks for a patient to see improvements.  Your therapist will work efficiently to help you see improvements as quickly as possible. You will receive an estimated number of therapy visits by the end of your first session. Most clients see significant improvement in 8-12 sessions.

Yes. You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your therapy care will cost. At the Men’s Therapy Center, your costs are clear. You pay per session based on the length of each appointment. While we tend to aim for 8-12 sessions to address each presenting concern, your total cost of services will depend upon the number of therapy sessions that you attend, your specific diagnosis, and adherence to the treatment. Completing exercises between sessions is quite normal (and expected) in therapy. Similar to taking guitar lessons or working out with a personal trainer, it’s best to work on your health for a few hours between visits. If you don’t wish to do work between sessions, we, unfortunately, won’t be able to work with you.

Sessions are held online are conducted via a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. We will email you the private link for your video visit 48 hours before each visit.  Please ensure you have privacy, a stable high-speed internet connection, and a device with a webcam for the visit.
